Our new bell, named "Francis," was blessed on June 29th and lifted up in the belfry of the new bell tower on July 3rd. Our bell is inscribed with the name of the company and the year of its casting, which is 1915. This bell hung for many years in a now-closed church in Pennsylvania. We are so proud to have it and to give it a new lease on life! Click here to watch a video filmed by The Tampa Bay Times of Msgr. Gibbons speaking about the bell project.
We lost two live oak trees on the property in recent weeks, due to old age and disease. One was by the south sacristy of the Church, the other in front of the Convent. We are planning to plant several live oaks on the campus this summer, to replace these and to do our part to improve the tree canopy here in our beautiful city. If you would like to make a donation to support this effort, please make your check payable to St. Paul’s Church and send it to the attention of Msgr. Gibbons.
St. Paul's Partners With HaitiMinistry is sponsoring the construction of a library for the students at the Catholic school at our twin parish. The construction is underway. They hope to have the new library open by the start of school in the fall. Thanks for all the great support from St. Paul's parishioners and St. Paul’s Catholic School.
