St. Isidore parish is located on the island of La Gonave, Haiti. The island is the size of Pinellas County with 104,000 people on the entire island. The primary languages spoken are French and Creole. The island has no electricity, the parish recently received solar power. There are 15 water spigots and some use cisterns.

St. Isidore's parish has 1500 members, one main church and eight small chapels. It also has two schools, St. Bernadettes with 800 students and one small school at St. John Baptiste Chapel.
