Ministry Background:

Partners with Haiti, A Ministry of St. Paul’s Catholic Church, established a sister parish relationship with St. Isidore Catholic Church, on La Gonave, Haiti in 1999.  Since then, exchange visits by the pastors have been made, over 50 parishioners from St. Paul’s Parish have visited St. Isidore’s parishioners, and several medical missions have been completed at the parish’s chapel in Plen Mapou, which is in the mountainous area north of the parish.  The long-term goal for the medical aspect of the program is to help the community to have ongoing health care.  The education of local Haitians to provide health care for Plen Mapou is an essential aspect of the program.

St. Paul's Medical Mission 2007 - The 3rd Medical Mission to Plen Mapou closed its doors on Friday afternoon March 9th after seeing a little over 1,000 medical patients and more than 100 dental patients in five days. Click here to get more details and see pictures from this years mission trip.
