St. Paul’s has always encouraged a strong sense of Christian stewardship. We have been greatly blessed by God, and we seek to give back to God, in gratitude, through a generous sharing of our Time, our Talent, and our Treasure with our parish community and beyond.
CONTEMPORARY CHOIR

St. Paul's Contemporary Choir

Our Mission Statement

As musicians among the people of God, we call forth song from the worshipping assembly with the highest quality of contemporary Catholic liturgical music while effectively leading the assembly.

As disciples of Christ, we strive to let our song teach in His name, offering sung prayer before His Presence in the sacraments, and encouraging a sense of community as church and choir.

As liturgists, we humbly approach our ministry in music, committed to the liturgy and teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.

HOW TO JOIN OUR MINISTRY

If you feel called to join our ministry, know that we welcome new musicians and singers of at least high school age. We ask that you understand the three pillars of our mission: music, discipleship, and liturgy. We ask that you come to the Contemporary Mass at 6:00 PM to listen to what we play. We ask that you take home and study a packet of mass sheets and music to help you decide if your musical skills fall within the scope of the music’s difficulty range. Most of all, we will pray for you and we ask that you also pray while you discern for this ministry. We then ask that you join us for practice for at least three weeks in a row prior to actually playing or singing in the mass. We practice at 4:00 PM on Sundays for the two hours prior to 6:00 PM Mass.
